Become a Host Family
Baseball dreams meet front porch hospitality.
One of the most meaningful ways to be part of the Mississippi Mud Monsters is to open your home to a player chasing his next big step. Around here, host families are not just helpful. They are part of the heart of the team.
More Than a Place to Stay
Our players come from all over the country, and sometimes all over the world, chasing their shot at the next level. While they are putting in the work on the field, they need a place off the field that feels safe, steady, and welcoming.
Being a Mud Monsters host family is not just about offering a roof over someone’s head. It is about giving a player a soft place to land, a kitchen to raid after a long doubleheader, and a home base during the wild ride of a baseball season.

The kind of connection that lasts well beyond one season
What’s In It For You?
Many families host two players, which means even more stories, even more connection, and yes, even more tickets.
What It Takes
- A clean, safe place to stay
- Usually a private bedroom
- Access to laundry and a kitchen
- Respect, communication, and a little patience
- A willingness to make someone feel at home
Season Timing
Players typically arrive in early May and stay through early September.
That is about four months of baseball, summer, and a whole lot of unforgettable moments.
Why Families Love It
Besides the free tickets, it is the stories. The friendships. The little routines that become part of your summer. The chance to say “I knew him when…” and mean it.
It is family. It is fun. It is a little muddy. And it is the kind of experience people talk about for years.
Host Family FAQ
Nope. But if you invite them to dinner every now and then, you might become their favorite person in the world.
Absolutely. Some of our best host family stories start with two players under one roof.
It happens. It’s baseball. We will keep you in the loop and, if you want, help make sure your home stays full.
That usually means you care. And honestly, that is a pretty good sign you would be great at this.
