Matthew Dispenza is the Ticket Manager for the Mississippi Mud Monsters — and if there’s a ticket with your name on it, Matthew probably had something to do with it. Originally from south Louisiana and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Matthew’s been around baseball long enough to know that sometimes the most important part of the game happens before the first pitch — like making sure every fan gets through the gates with a smile (and maybe a hot dog coupon).
Before joining the Mud Monsters, Matthew Dispenza spent time as the Ticket Operations Manager for the Mississippi Braves and cut his teeth in the game as an intern with the Tacoma Rainiers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. He’s also logged nearly two decades working in baseball stats and scorekeeping — proof that he’s been crunching numbers and watching games long before the Mud Monsters crawled out of the swamp.
A graduate of the University of Phoenix – Western Washington Campus with a degree in Business and Accounting, Matthew lives in Pearl with his wife, Ashley, and their three boys. He’s a passionate fan of Mississippi State athletics, the Atlanta Braves, the New Orleans Saints, and the Italian National Soccer Team — which means he’s basically in season all year long.
Outside of baseball, Matthew’s love of sports runs deep — from disc golf to racewalking to his (very real, very impressive) title as the 1995 Mississippi YABA Boys Overall Bowling Champion for the 11-under division. Around here, that’s the kind of hardware we respect — because whether you’re rolling strikes or printing tickets, every great ballpark needs a few legends behind the scenes.
