If you had told 10-year-old Joe that one day he would own a professional baseball team with a swamp monster mascot, he probably would have wanted to know how fast he could get to the ballpark.

A fan’s heart with a builder’s mindset

A lifelong baseball fan and transformation-minded business leader, Joe brings a rare mix of big-picture strategy and fan-first thinking to the Mud Monsters. His professional path has taken him through leadership roles in technology, hospitality, customer experience, product strategy, and innovation, including work with JetBlue Airways, SWIFT, Travelclick, and Billtrust.

Across every stop, one idea has stayed constant: great experiences matter.

Building places people want to come back to

That belief now sits at the heart of his work in baseball. As the leader of both the Mississippi Mud Monsters and the Gary SouthShore RailCats, he is focused on building teams and ballparks that feel less like businesses and more like gathering places.

The goal is simple but powerful - create spaces where fans come for baseball, stay for the memories, and leave feeling like they found something worth sharing.

From boardrooms to ballparks

From airlines to hotels to financial technology, Joe has helped shape award-winning experiences in industries built around service. Now, that same energy and attention to detail is showing up at Trustmark Park and throughout the greater Jackson community.

For him, baseball is more than a business. It is one of the best ways to build community, create belonging, and give people a place to come together.

And if that community happens to include a 6-foot swamp monster named Fish, all the better.
